Kohota FAQ

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions (FAQ) from Kohota readers just like you. We hope these answers will help you throughout your lifestyle retirement planning process. If you have any questions you would like us to add to the list, please submit at feedback@kohota.com.

When should I start planning for retirement?

That depends on your own individual timeline. When do you want to stop doing the things you don’t like and do more of the things you love? We will say this, it is never too early and never too late to plan. Every minute of time can make the difference when planing a relaxing, financially independent future.

Does Kohota replace my Financial Advisor?

No, it’s actually just the opposite. Kohota helps you develop a personalized retirement blueprint that you should share with your Financial Advisor. They will be able to create the best possible financial plan for you if they know your specific goals and dreams.

Why should I use Kohota?

Kohota combines useful, informational content with specific tasks to help you achieve your goals. This will help you stay focused and accountable to develop a successful retirement lifestyle plan. We’ll even reach out to remind you to complete tasks, in case you get busy. Kohota is invested in your success.

What type of results will I see?

That is completely up to you. Results are driven by focus, determination, discipline and effort. We’ll give you a map and be your guide but the results are based on you. Kohota does not promise or guarantee results.

What if I don’t want to fully retire?

No problem. Many of our readers aren’t looking to necessarily stop working all together, they just desire the independence to do what they want, when they want. Some strive to retire from the “rat race” and then start businesses, consult, freelance and many other things to stay active and maintain a purposeful life.

Is there a fee to create an account with Kohota?

No. Creating an account with Kohota is absolutely FREE. So please give us a try. You have nothing to loose and everything to gain.

Are the tasks difficult and time consuming?

Well it’s not the SATs but you will be challenged to think about what you really want for your future. It is important to be thoughtful while going through the tasks and be honest with yourself. The goal is to learn as much as possible so you feel empowered to make wise retirement decisions. Don’t rush through the tasks, go at your own pace. Your future is too important to speed through this process. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.

Do I need my financial information when going through the tasks?

Not generally but an overall understanding of your finances will be helpful for some of the tasks. Remember, Kohota is NOT a financial planning tool, we are a holistic lifestyle retirement planning tool. Of course finances are a part of your journey but Kohota does not offer specific financial advice.
